Below are a sample of the questions we commonly get asked.
Why employ a Tree surgeon, can’t I do it myself?
Yes you can to a point but tree work can be dangerous and a qualified tree surgeon/Arborist will be able to offer advice on your trees and carry out work that is both good for you and the health of your trees.
The trees are blocking the light from my garden, can you chop them down a bit?
Yes we can but it needs to be done in the right way with a “crown reduction” “Crown thin” or “Crown lift” if a tree is “Topped” as is the work carried out by many untrained “tree surgeons” the tree will be disfigured for life, will put on much more growth and may become dangerous in years to come so you will be back to square one and will have wasted your money and have an “ugly” tree to look at.
Do you remove all waste from site
Yes we remove all waste from site and re cycle as much as possible, if you want to keep the wood chip and logs that’s also fine.
Are you trained and insured?
Yes we have all the relevant qualifications to carry out our work and we are fully insured, proof can be supplied and we take no offence with customers asking.
I thought tree surgeons liked trees, all you seem to do is chop them down!
Most professional tree surgeons do have a love of trees but removal is a big part of our job, deadwood removal and all aspects of pruning is also a big part of our day to day work.
After you have Landscaped my garden can you look after it as well?
Yes, we can offer a maintenance program that suits both you and your garden.
I will be working on the day you come, do you need anything and can I pay you in advance
The answer to both these questions is normally No and No, if we need anything from you eg water or electricity we will sort this out beforehand. We don’t normally accept payment until all the work is carried out and you are happy.
Do you do fencing?
Yes we can supply and erect all kinds of fencing, gates and decking to suit all kinds of tastes and budgets.
My once lovely hedge has been “let go” can you make it nice again?
Yes we can but as with most things time is the key, and it may take a few years to get it back to it’s former glory.
How do you take payment?
You can pay by the following methods- Cash ,Cheque or paypal. At the moment we don’t take credit cards but this is something we are looking at for the future.
Can you do anything about the stump that is left when you remove my tree?
We can remove the stump with our petrol stump grinding machine, this will turn the stump to saw dust so you can use the land again.
If you grind the stump out will you plant me another tree
It is our policy to provide and re plant a suitable tree in a suitable place at cost if you so wish, there is no labour charge for this only the cost of the tree.
