Firewood

We supply seasoned and split, ready to burn hardwood logs around Leeds and surrounding areas, in the following sizes-

25kg nets @ £4.00 each or

1M3 Bulk bags @ £70.00 each

Price includes delivery in a 5 mile radius of Garforth, out side this area there is a minimum order of 2 bulk bags.

Why don’t we do tipper loads many people ask, the answer is simple, what is a tipper load? There are so many size tippers on the market a load could really mean anything. We prefer to deliver a measured amount every time so that you the customer get the same amount on every delivery. This also enables us to grade our wood better so you get a more consistent size of firewood.

Also remember to never buy firewood by weight only by volume as new wet wood is far heavier than seasoned dry wood!

All our firewood is seasoned for a minimum of 12 months unless otherwise stated when you order.

Did you know!

Using logs as fuel is also environmentally good, it is renewable, sustainable and carbon neutral. Over the life time of a mature tree it takes in many more times the CO2 than it gives off when burnt therefore not only do you keep warm but your using a natural product that’s been used for thousands of years!

Firewood Storage

Firewood is best stored somewhere where there is moving air, outside undercover is the best place as the moving air helps the wood to dry, failing this a garage or shed will do. Try and keep your logs off the floor if possible as the wood will absorb moisture from the ground.

For the best result your firewood should be moved in doors a few days before it’s burnt, this brings the wood to room temperature and help’s it burn better.

Log stores

We can supply and erect quality log stores in various sizes to suit your needs. These not only help to keep your logs dry but also add a nice feature to your garden.

We can either supply your log store for you to erect, we can supply a log store and erect it for you or we can supply, erect and fill your log store with hardwood logs so you’re all ready to go for winter. Please ring for an up to date price and to discuss the size you require.

The standard size log store pictured measures approx 6’Lx2’Wx5’H but can be made to any size and specification.

Woodchip Mulch

We can also supply woodchip mulch, this is good for flower beds and borders as it helps retain soil moisture and suppress weeds. Wood chip is also good for creating paths, walkways and play areas (not suitable for very young children as it can be sharp).

We supply woodchip by the full tipper load (approx 4 square meters), by the bulk bag or by the 25kg bag
